Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before a catalog conversation.

Understand Cailar’s product boundary, data sources, review workflow, security approach, and first engagement.

08questions catalog teams ask first
01

Is Cailar a PIM?

Cailar prepares, cleans, enriches, and validates product information. It can work before or alongside an existing PIM, so a first engagement does not require a replacement project.

02

Does Cailar invent missing specifications?

No factual specification should be generated without verifiable evidence. Missing or conflicting values are routed to an exception queue for human review.

03

What files can Cailar process?

Founding-partner engagements begin with structured spreadsheets, CSV files, PDFs, product images, and approved system exports. Scope is confirmed before processing begins.

04

Can our team review changes before delivery?

Yes. Evidence, confidence, exception review, and approval are designed into the workflow. Approved information is kept separate from unresolved suggestions.

05

Can Cailar work with our taxonomy?

Yes. A configured engagement maps source information to your approved categories, attribute structure, units, and product relationships.

06

Do we need to migrate our catalog?

No. Start with a representative product category and the files you already have. Cailar can return reviewed data to your current systems.

07

How is our data protected?

Confidential catalogs are never accepted through a public website form. Security controls, retention, subprocessors, and deletion terms are reviewed before any secure transfer is enabled.

08

How do we begin?

Request a catalog audit. We will qualify the workflow, select a representative sample, offer an NDA, and provide a secure transfer path only when appropriate.
